Reformers and Rehab is a physiotherapy lead, small group exercise session, where individually tailored exercises are used to address people’s specific functional goals or pain and movement problems. Reformers and Rehab is a unique way of building strength, flexibility, and movement control.

A Reformers and Rehab session may incorporate exercises using equipment such as a reformer, trapeze table, free weights, fit ball, floor mats, or an exercise bike just to name a few. It all depends on an individual’s specific movement problems and what their goals may be.

It is a safe, effective, and evidence-based form of physiotherapy treatment that is low-impact in nature. It can also be suitable for those who are elderly or pregnant. We also run a specific Mums & Bubs session for new and expecting mums. Find out more here.

What is Involved?

We provide a number of group sessions each day, which are an hour in duration. We keep our group numbers small, to ensure that each participant is closely supervised and guided by one of our highly trained physiotherapists.

It is recommended to attend a session 2-3 times per week for maximum benefit, however many of our participants enjoy coming just once per week.

In order to join a group, you will need to attend a 1-hour initial assessment with one of our physiotherapists. During this hour session, your physiotherapist will conduct a thorough assessment of your technique and movement patterns. They will then prescribe and guide you through a series of individually tailored exercises that you will be performing in the small group sessions. In addition to this, your physiotherapist will provide you with an individualized home exercise program to maximize the benefits of your group sessions.
